What the Global Teacher Prize did was bring together 10 people from different nationalities but each of them carry with them a common goal. For the first time in the history of the Global Teacher Prize hosted by Varkey Foundation, the winner decided to share the prize money of 1 million dollars with the remaining 9 finalists.
Educators are the biggest change-makers in the society. They innovate, engage and have a role to play in shaping the minds of tomorrow’s leaders and professionals. Ranjitsinh Disale, a very grounded and passionate teacher from Maharashtra won the prize in 2020. His belief that the World is a classroom can only come to life when he has the right set of people working with him in partnership. This led to the birth of Ranjitsinh Disale Foundation – a unique organization that brings together educators from 10 countries to work towards using the power of digital to transform education, and in turn #GiftANewBeginning to the students in need.

A driven professional who is dedicated and a big believer in quality education through digital technology.

Hà Ánh Phượng
A transformer of social fabric, she comes from an ethnic minority and has strived to constantly use education as a tool to change lives.

Knowledge is powerful when it is accessible. We often forget the latter & RDF wishes to be a changemaker in the education space. With the use of technology & tools, we want to create a student community that has unlimited seats.
